Trust me, I know how hard it can be to keep up with all the latest fitness jargon. I’ve been there myself. I’ve put below a list of common fitness words and phrases, complete with easy to understand descriptions.

AMRAPAs many rounds as possible
BPBench Press
BSBack Squat
BWBody Weight
DLDeadlift
EMOMEach minute on the minute
PBPersonal Best
PUPull ups or Push ups
RepRepetition (one performance of an exercise)
SetA number of repetitions (e.g. 3 sets of 10 reps or 3×10; reps, rest, reps, rest, reps)
